| I am working professional originally from the South. I love being around people, but I understand the importance of alone time...yours and mine :). My current roommate and I get along wonerfully; but she is moving in with her boyfriend... So unfortunately am losing a great roommate. I have two sweet dogs (20lbs & 40lbs); but they love to cuddle with everyone, so if you're not a dog person you either soon will be, or won't like living with them. They are kenneled when I leave (if you're home and want them out, you're welcome, but don't have to), I don't allow them in my roommates room unless she invites them. I do not expect anyone to take care of them for me; but, currently lucked out, and my roommate helps me with them if she comes home first. I keep common areas very straight, and TRY to mop/vaccuum every two weeks to a month. The house is a great little house (2000+ sqft), with laminate wood floors throughout and carpet in the bedrooms. You'll have your own bathroom and bedroom. The house has a large yard with a pool and close to ASU, downtown Tempe, and quick access to the 101 & 60 freeways. The rent is $740/month + utilities. We split utilities; and the worse I've seen is, obviously, during the summer, which was about $250-300/ month (including electric, water, Internet, cable [cable is negotiable. If you don't want it, we can unwire your bedroom and living room]). Electric is on the SRP time of use plan; and I'm very conscious (not neurotic) about times and temp levels to help keep costs low for everyone. However, it's Arizona and I get hot too, so I'm never opposed to you or myself turning it down, but if I do, I will alway ask if you're okay with it. Basically I try to always respect my roommate and their needs. And believe if you communicate with the person you live with, you're better off. |
