  5. Roommates.com was a god send. I did not want to put something up on Craig's list. I would sell a car that way, not find a roommate. I was looking for an unusual arrangement. I wanted someone who didn't need a whole lot of closet space and was happy sleeping on a sofa bed. I found a college kid that was looking for just that kind of arrangement and was thrilled to pay a lower rent for it. We are both pleased because his puppy gets along famously with my 9 year old Chi.   11. I have had my rm for rent on craigslist for 7 mos.! ! Not one nibble. No response from craigslist re: my ad, rm, etc. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. Zero.....I posted with roomates .com. ..love their format. They do all the work. AND KEPT ME UPDATED, MIN. BY MIN.! ! ...MATCHES! Day 3, my rm.is rented, have deposit in hand, its a good fit for all concerned, moves in this wk end, having paid rent in full! Thank you, roommates.com! DH - Cynthia

Unlike all the other websites she was not looking for a young college student. I am renting a nice room in a nice house for $350 amonth including all utilities, cable tv, and internet.
