Regular Matches may include users outside your age range to expand your options. Only Perfect Matches strictly follow all preferences. Block users you want removed.

Use the Search page to browse potential roommates beyond your automatic Matches. Filter by location, rent, move-in date, age, pets, and more to widen your options.

Perfect Matches Vs. Matches

Perfect Matches align with all your preferences, while Matches show high compatibility with slight differences like age or location. Both appear on your Matches page.

Matches Vs. Searches

Matches are auto-generated profiles aligned with your preferences, while Searches let you manually browse and filter. Use both to maximize your roommate options.

Hiding and Restoring Matches

Remove unwanted Matches on Roommates.com by clicking the X icon. View or restore hidden Matches anytime from the Hidden tab on your Matches page.

Request Verification

Ask potential roommates to complete additional identity verifications by clicking Request More Verifications on their profile to help confirm their authenticity.

Favoriting Matches

Save potential roommates to your Favorites list on Roommates.com by clicking the bookmark icon on their profile so you can easily revisit them later.
