Sharing a direct link to your Roommates.com listing makes it easy to showcase your space or housing search on social media, in emails, or through private messages. Since active listings display your public profile details, sharing your listing link is also a great all-in-one way to share your profile information with others.
Steps to Copy/Share Your Listing Link:
Generating a shareable URL is available on desktop and mobile web browsers:
Log in to your Roommates.com account and navigate to your Dashboard.
Locate the Listing(s) section.
Select View on the listing you want to share.
Copy the complete web URL directly from your browser's address bar.
Paste the link into an email, text, or social media post.
📱 iOS App Note: Direct listing links cannot be copied from within the native iOS app. To copy and share a link, log into your account using a desktop or mobile web browser.
Accessing Listings in the Message Center:
If you are already communicating with someone on Roommates.com, you do not need to send a manual link. Both parties can view each other’s listings directly inside the Message Center:
View a Contact's Listing: Click or tap the user’s name at the top of any conversation thread to open their listing and connected profile.
Inaccessible Listings: If a user's name is not clickable or their listing will not load, it indicates that:
The user’s account is no longer active on Roommates.com, or
One of you has blocked the other on the platform.
Additional Information:
Before sending your link to potential matches, keep the following rules in mind:
Active Status Required: Your listing must be active for others to open the link. If your listing is archived (or if your account is hidden or deactivated) the link will show as unavailable.
VIP Access Needed: Recipients must have an active VIP Membership on Roommates.com to view all information included on your listing.
